Kaja Kirstine H Lilleng is an expert on valuation processes in impact-driven investing, known for her research and practical work in the field. She is currently a doctoral researcher at Aalto University, focusing on how investors assign value to environmental qualities, particularly within early-stage private equity investing.

Kaja played a central role in growing the emerging impact investing ecosystem in the Nordics through her work with Nordic Impact, Katapult, and as co-founder of the Nordic Impact Investing Network. She is also an investor alumni of Wave Ventures, the first student-run venture capital fund in the Nordics.

Her research has contributed to understanding how investors value incommensurable environmental qualities and how they engage with the future. Through her work bridging academic knowledge and practice she advocates for rethinking how and what we value in contemporary capitalism.
