Lorraine Artur de la Villarmois

Sustainable Finance | ESG & Impact

After 7 years in international law firms and 7 years spent in South East Asia, Lorraine brings a mix of excellent technical legal expertise and on the ground enabling-ESG practice. She was among the first to practice ESG at a strategic level in the development finance in developing countries. She joined 2050 to strengthen the compliance and regulatory practices and enrich the alignment strategy.

Lorraine is a business oriented lawyer and an impact-driven, enabling ESG practitioner. She built her legal expertise as a merger & acquisition lawyer in France for 7 years in reputed law firms advising international corporations and funds. During the past 4 years, her position of Legal & ESG officer in the first PE fund in Myanmar exposed her to practicing the law and ESG in a developing country amidst Covid and a coup d’etat. Before this life-changing experience, she tried her hands at entrepreneurship in Vietnam. These experiences made her deeply mature her character and the way she practices law and advises businesses, through strong convictions: law and ESG can be powerful tools when strategically used by management.
