Meet Marie Ekeland, our founder and CEO

Marie Ekeland

Founder & CEO

A successful entrepreneur in finance and investor reshaping private equity industry to serve performance, people and  the planet.

At 30, she joined Elaia Partners, where she led the early-stage investments in Criteo (exited for $5bn on the NASDAQ) and Teads (sold to Alice for $300m). In 2015, she became Europe’s first woman to raise a €170M fund when she co-founded daphni, introducing a new investment approach that delivered a top-decile track record, cementing her positioning as one of Europe’s leading VCs.

Marie also co-founded France Digitale, the leading startup & VC European association.
In 2023, she received the French Order of Honor. 

From her start as a computer scientist at J.P. Morgan in 1997, Marie has consistently innovated within the finance industry. Today, through 2050, she’s channelling this 30 years experience into her most ambitious venture yet: building the investment infrastructure to fund the transition to a sustainable economy.
